Abstract

Folk literature constitutes an important category of Chinese literature. Diversified folk tales of ethnic minority groups play an important role in Chinese folk literature. Tales of Afanti, Balagencang and Aku Dӧnba are separately popular folk tales in three autonomous regions of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Xizang (Tibet), China. These tales are also called trickster stories. Most existing researches pay more attentions on origins, variants and language features of such folk tales.
