Education system based on aqidah is very important to shape the identity and spirituality of Muslims in Malaysia. The ‘pondok’ institution is an example of Islamic educational institution in history and for the education system. With the establishment of pondok, the teachings of Islam have been able to be disseminated and provide many benefits to the community. History stated that the earliest pondok was Pondok Tok Pulai Chondong which is located in Machang, Kelantan. Until now, the pondoks institution is still operating and organized with a better system.
