This cross-sectional, community-based study was carried out over seven months (August 2019 - February 2020) to examine the various income-generating factors among the tribal communities in the Hill Districts of Manipur, a Northeastern state of India. Using multiple regression analysis, the study identified several key determinants of income generation, including educational attainment, road infrastructure, family size, the presence of government-employed family members, agricultural land area, and family structure. The determinants are significant at P<0.01 and P< 0.05 levels.
