Abstract

- This review paper examines Henrik Ibsen’s portrayal of gender and power dynamics in his plays, highlighting how Ibsen challenged societal norms and explored complex relationships between men and women. By analyzing key plays such as A Doll’s House, Hedda Gabler, and Ghosts, this study explores themes of patriarchy, women’s liberation, and the consequences of societal expectations. Through a comprehensive review of Ibsen’s works and relevant scholarship, this paper contributes to understanding Ibsen’s progressive stance on gender issues and his impact on modern drama.
