Abstract

The state of Tripura, located in northeastern India, has been grappling with various boundary issues, especially concerning its international and neighboring boundaries with Bangladesh and other northeast- ern states. These boundary disputes have often led to tensions and conflicts, impacting the socio-political landscape of the region. Additionally, Tripura has witnessed significant challenges related to illegal Migration from Bangladesh, leading to demographic changes and straining the resources of the state. Another pressing issue is the lack of land rights for tribal communities, which has further marginalized these com- munities and hindered their socio-economic development. These issues collectively play a pivotal role in shaping the political participation and dynamics in Tripura, influencing electoral outcomes, policy formulations, and the overall governance structure of the state. Addressing these complex challenges requires comprehensive strategies that prioritize the rights and welfare of tribal communities while ensuring peace and stability in the region.
