As one of the most representative composers of art songs in France at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Fauré mainly concentrated in the field of art songs and created several vocal divertiments and three single albums with the title of “20 art songs”. These art songs occupy an important position in the history of European music. Based on this, this paper will take “the piano accompaniment of Fauré’s art songs” as the research object, from the perspective of musicology, literature, aesthetics, management, philosophy and other disciplines, and on the basis of collecting and sorting literature, field research, questionnaire survey and field interview to obtain first-hand data, study the performance technology, characteristics, influence and value of the piano accompaniment of Fauré’s art songs, and put forward its contribution, significance and some suggestions on the development of piano accompaniment art in the future
