Abstract

In the current situation, a variety of constructions, from standard residential buildings to skyscraper structures, are under construction. Concrete is always used extensively in the building of all the structures. Cement, fine aggregate (River sand), coarse aggregate, water, and admixtures of various kinds, depending on the circumstances, are the usual ingredients of concrete. Good sand is currently taken out of riverbeds and moved over great distances. Sand mining has grown to be a significant problem that is endangering the ecosystem and increasing the risk of flooding and water flow disruption. However, the resources are also running out quite quickly and cheaply. The purpose of this experimental investigation is to substitute sawdust for fine aggregate in a concrete mixture.
