Abstract

Diabetes develops when the blood sugar level (glucose) is unable to appropriately regulate the insulin produced by the body. Diabetic retinopathy is the result of diabetes's impact on the eyes. Diabetic retinopathy is a complex form of diabetes that can lead to blindness. Patients with metabolic disorders do not experience any symptoms until the disease reaches a later stage. Thus, it is imperative to guarantee early discovery and appropriate treatment. Different automated solutions have been designed to fulfil this aim. A crucial aspect of identifying diabetic retinopathy is the identification of microaneurysms within the eye's fundus. In order to distinguish between sick and healthy fundus images, this investigation examines the texture's capacity for discrimination. The effectiveness of local binary patterns (lbp) as a texture descriptor for retinal images has been investigated for this reason
