There are 17 existing Confucian temple buildings in Hunan Province, no matter in site selection, layout or decoration, they all contain rich symbols of Confucian culture. Under the influence of Huxiang culture, Confucian culture, Fengshui culture and other factors, the space decoration of Hunan Confucian Temple presents its unique artistic form characteristics. It is a folk decorative art that not only has a certain stylized official method, but also makes flexible use of the texture and craftsmanship of local materials.
