Background Exercise and physical activity during adolescence are essential developmental assets for physical, psychological and social development. However, there is a lack of exercise and physical activity among young people worldwide. It is reported that exercise/physical activity contributes not only to the physical health of adolescents, but also to psychological well-being, human relationship formation, and holistic development. Conversely, lack of exercise and physical activity deteriorates physical and mental health and social and emotional development.
