The paper deals with a systematic comparison of semantic categories and taxonomic relations for the main modern lexical and semantic resources, including the RuWordNet thesaurus, the Russian National Corpus, the Russian Semantic Dictionary, and the Ideographic Dictionary of the Russian Language. It compares the peculiarities of vertical systematization of lexical sections in each of them and elicits the similarities in the principles and approaches to the problem of language modeling. A group of nouns with emotive semantics has been selected as the object of research.
