Abstract

In this study, the use of steel fibers in addition to chemical stabilization for stabilizing expansive soil is analyzed and evaluated. The goal of this research is to determine how effectively these fibers and lime are able to reduce the expansive nature of the soil by enhancing its Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) behavior. The UCS of an expansive soil was studied under different conditions, including with and without steel fibers including lime, and after 0, 7, 28, 60, 120, and 160 days of curing.
