Abstract

Alisher Navoi thoroughly familiarized himself with the oral and written spiritual heritage of the Arab, Persian and Turkic peoples before him, learned from their best traditions, was influenced and developed in his literary experience. That is why Navoi scholars emphasize the need to study in depth the relationship of the great thinker poet not only to Uzbek folklore, but also to the folklore of other nations.1 It is recognized that folklore is one of the important sources in Alisher Navoi's work. Such views led to the formation and development of the controversy of Navoi and folk art as a separate scientific direction in Navoi studies.
