Abstract

The excessive use of electronic devices by children presents a pressing societal challenge for families in general, and Algerian families in particular. As a consequence of modernity, this excessive use compels families in the digital age to possess sufficient awareness to guide their children's engagement with digital media. This is especially crucial given that these devices have become integral to our reality, carrying with them significant risks that can impact a child's psychological, social, and relational health, with potential repercussions extending to the family unit. This research paper will explore the collective risks associated with excessive use of digital media within the digital environment, as well as the mechanisms employed by families to mitigate and reduce its harmful effects.
