Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of competence, emotional intelligence and personality on performance directly and also analyzes it through independence as an intervening variable. The research method used explanatory research, that explained the causal relationship between several research variables. The samples of study are 172 village leaders in Mojokerto, Indonesia. The study has 6 hypotheses to examine. Results showed improving the performance of the village head can occur through the competency variable. The improvement in the performance of the village head cannot occur through the emotional intelligence variable
