Emotional problems have been identified as a significant concern in dealing with mental health issues in Malaysia during the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO). Depression and anxiety contributed to a 2.4 percent increase in Malaysian psychiatric problems. This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence (emotional regulation and self-motivation), happiness, and psychological well-being among counseling clients in one of Malaysia’s counseling agencies. A total of 83 counseling clients responded to the questionnaire. Structural Equation Modeling in SmartPLS was used to test the research hypotheses.
