Abstract

Cloud computing has revolutionized the way computing resources are utilized and managed. Task scheduling, a crucial aspect in cloud computing, significantly impacts resource utilization, performance, and cost-effectiveness. This paper presents a comprehensive review of hybrid meta-heuristic scheduling approaches for independent task scheduling in cloud computing environments. The study examines various hybrid meta-heuristic algorithms and their effectiveness in addressing the challenges of task scheduling in the cloud. Furthermore, it discusses the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for future research in this domain. The insights provided in this review can aid researchers and practitioners in selecting appropriate scheduling techniques to optimize resource allocation and enhance overall system performance in cloud environments.
