IMAGE PROCESSING AND RASPBERRY PI BASED FARMING ROBOT WITH PLANT HEALTH INDICATION

Abstract

One of the most important and traditional jobs in India is farming. Since agriculture plays a major role in India's economy, food production needs to be managed carefully. Viral, fungal, and bacterial infections cause plants to produce less, both in terms of quantity and quality, because of this large loss of production. For this reason, caring for plants properly is crucial. This project gives an overview of a farming robot that detects several plant illnesses using image processing methods and is powered by a Raspberry Pi. More accurate methods for identifying plant illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi are provided by Farming Robot. It is erroneous to increase the number of ocular observations in order to diagnose diseases. Overuse of pesticides can lead to serious long-term health problems. Spraying pesticides on crops has led to a growing number of chronic ailments in farmers, some of which are fatal. Plants that are overused also lose some of their nutritional value. It results in significant productivity losses for farmers. Consequently, using a Raspberry Pi-based farming robot to detect and categorize diseases in agricultural applications is advantageous when applying image processing techniques
