Abstract

The novel remained isolated from attention rhetorically, in comparison to the genre of poetry celebrated at the level of observation of the word rhetorically and to which attention was directed through the image; This is because “the critical treatment of the image in poetry exclusively and not in prose, was imposed by cultural constants that contributed to the marginalization of narration in all its plurality and manifestations, and in turn raised the status of poetry, until tomorrow the Arab Diwan, which rises above every other literary genre This meaning is confirmed by Hamid Hamdani, who is limited to poetry in paying attention to its eloquence and not paying attention to the novel with any care for its eloquence. He says: “The reality of literary criticism in Europe itself until the eighteenth century was a prisoner of classical rhetoric, and for this he was unable to understand the stylistic specificity of the novel; This made one of the contemporary critics - Amin al-Khouli - notice that classical rhetoric, as clever as it was in dealing with the language of poetry, is characterized by vulgarity, when it comes to problems of narration.However, this approach has changed to take into account the interest in the rest of the literary genres, especially the novel, but “research remained limited to partial models and did not go beyond the framework of a single prose phrase or a few poetic verses. It was credited with pointing out the close relationship between the metonymy And the realistic anecdotal arts in particular of Roman Jacobson in his valuable research on aphasia: “Two aspects of language and two types of aphasia.But the use of the correct rhetorical component depends on the writer’s ability in what he weaves of metaphorical relations or metaphorical relations, and this metaphorical and metaphorical employment is linked to some extent with the safety of both the faculties of choice and compensation from any defect that affects them, as this appears in the multiplication of the creative production, and at the same time it will prevail For some, metaphor is used, and for others, the use of metonymy
